Exhibition "Thomas Crapper"
is free

Can you imagine a home life without a toilet? Probably not. This is the main subject of mankind, which is constantly evolving: from craft to high-tech equipment. It is already possible to take him with him on a journey not only on Earth, but also in space. But the toilet in the shape that we know it for today, with a toilette tank, we owe to Thomas Crapper - a man-legend. He not only raised the toilette tank up for dispensing and economical water drainage, he also was the first manager who was able to openly advertise and sell toilet bowls, which was unacceptable in the XIX century.

In honor of Crapper's first patent design of the toilette tank (17.01.1861) and the memory day of Thomas Crapper on January 27, the Museum of the Toilette History opens the exhibition "Flush with dignity." The memories, legends and discoveries of a prominent man - Thomas Crapper, as well as reprint editions “Thomas Crapper & Co” catalogs provided by Thomas Crapper’s collector and follower Simon Kirby are presented at the exhibition from January 17th to March 5th, 2019, from 10:00 to 18:00 at the Museum of the Toilette History.
