On World Toilet Day (November 19th) The Museum of the Toilette History presents the “Future Public WC” exhibition.
The exhibition presents projects of public toilets for Kyiv city. The works were performed by students of the 2nd year of Faculty of Architecture in KNUCA. This is their first project on theme "Small architectural form. Public WC.”
There is an urgent issue a sufficient number of public toilets in Kyiv. The city authorities are gradually solving these problems, but changes to the SBC (state building codes) require a rapid increase of the number of public toilets in places with large crowds. Mandatory requirement – the availability of public WC in the green areas and near metro stations. That’s why Tetiana Inosova, a teacher of the Department of Urban Planning of KNUCA and their students – future architects, decided to propose public WC projects. All works is performed in compliance with the SBC requirements, including the toilets for people in wheelchairs.
The modern professional approach of young architects to new public toilets is presented at the exhibition at the Museum of Toilette History from 19.11.19 to 20.12.19.
